Those who administer the international tests to students at about the age of 15, say that the freedom to choose a school and the act of schools governing themselves, matters more than the people who run those schools. It is increasingly obvious that the freedom for parents to choose and the freedom for schools to create the type of school they want is more important than the ability to create a uniformed, “lock step” type society within schools which produce more and more inferior educational results. Since 1989 Belgium and France have shown marked differences with divergent types of schools on each side of the country. The kids on the Flemish side of the country do remarkably better in the international tests  than the French side, and they have a greater autonomy. 

Better for the Disadvantaged?

The Public School officials will tell the public that the school system levels the playing field.  According to them, the poor and minorities are given better opportunities to succeed. It’s a load of hogwash. Public schools are regularly more segregated than private schools. Studies have shown that 54% of public school students were in classrooms that were 90% white or more than 90% minority. Only around 40% of private school students had the same experience.*

These statistics are the result of the wealthy being able to move near good schools, and the poor being stuck with what they can get. Washington DC has a school called, Ballou High; a place where teachers often don’t even show up. And why should they since they can’t be fired? The kids have no where to go, hanging in the hallways, they know they are stuck and it seems no one cares. Of course, she and her parents could try to pretend that they live in another school district, but then the school zone border patrol might exercise their right to control trespassers. 

Where Liberals Run Wild and Free

Even in California, “the left coast”, school detectives go around making sure kids in schools of the Freemont district actually live where they say they do. Freemont schools are markedly better than the surrounding schools in the area, and kids and parents who want better have to become clandestine to do so. One grandmother who created a room and address for her grandson was “caught” as she tried to give her grand kid a better education. Big Brother saw to it that a better education was denied as they “corrected” the situation. Can you say, “Papers please!” 

I can remember my own high school experience of being forced into a remedial reading class my freshman year, all of us were, even the kids who were in the “A” class. So pervasive is the poor education that is being produced, that even the “brains” have to be screened. One might think that all is the fault of the kids themselves, their parents, or maybe the media influence upon them. You would be right, of course, to claim that parents who read to their kids create better readers. Parents who take an interest in the school work of their kids, make better students for teachers, and the teacher’s job is much less insurmountable. Many parents however, have no option but to send their kids to these horrific schools created by the government system.

Ah, well... someone has to work for the Government

The U. S Department of Education says that  25% of American high school students can’t read at a basic level. They tell the kids to just go home and read on their own, the kid plays video games instead, and the system passes them to the next level anyway. Some of these kids were taken by a private investigative party to the Sylvan Learning Center and in 72 hours of instruction the reading comprehension jumped two grade levels. The government system loves to have meetings with parents and throw around all sorts of high sounding words and existentialist philosophy, then deny the reality of kids who graduate from their schools that still cannot read, but the final statistics show that private institutions succeed in teaching kids even the basics of reading at an alarmingly more efficient rate over the long term.

Is there an answer?

Sylvan learning centers are an example of accountability. They have to do what they say they will do, if not: no business, no income. A Sylvan program may cost upwards of about $3,000 dollars, the government spends about $10,000 on a child’s education. Why not just fund the parents for going to private instruction? Perhaps the bloated costs are not all they have to be. 

Supposedly, the public schools have no money. Just study the abject failure of “No Child Left Behind”, an exercise in government excess at the planning stage with no execution afterward, due to “lack of funding”. When one asks school officials if more money would be the answer, they always reply in the affirmative. More money would indeed fix the problem. How much you ask? Millions. They tell you millions would fix the school system.

Right now they spend about 10,000 per student. In a class of 25 that’s $250,000, and that’s per classroom. That’s all operating money, not capital expense. The surrounding infrastructure are all paid for. With $250,000  a lot can be done to make the student experience radically different than it is at this point.

The stats don’t lie though, America spends more on education that it does on the military, and we still score lower than most countries that spend less. It makes one wonder if the education system isn’t just a store front for another kind of organization in the shadows.  Spending billions on “country clubbing” up the schools has only made the education system results worse. 

Spending from 1971 to 2001 went from $4,479 per student to $8,996 per student. High school graduation rates from ‘71 to ‘01 went from 75.6% to 72.2% during the same duration. The facts are irrefutable, one can give the American school system all the money it wants, and things just don’t get better. 

And yet, all that money goes ..... somewhere....

All over the country there are schools that outperform the government public schools. In South Carolina, there is a school where kids jump from their chairs to answer math questions in a “math game” exercise. They play relay math. They play bingo. They play “phonics around the world”. 

This school, called “Middleton” charges about $3,000 per student, less than half of the money the government gives to the public schools in the surrounding area. Students there do better there with less money spent. Parents pay for the extra, despite the fact that they already are taxed and paying for the surrounding public schools; because their kids are fundamentally superior students.

Part 1

Waiting in Vain for Superman

A while back I wrote in this blog about many of the influences that have shaped our world today, not just my America, but the whole globe population. I have other posts here about such men as Evolutionist Charles Darwin, Psychologist/Psychiatrist Sigmund Freud, Economist John Maynard Keynes and Educator John Dewey.

On the last note, that of education, I recently posted about seeing a movie entitled, “Waiting for Superman”, which is a brutal condemnation of our educational system and the subsequent failures that have developed among school age kids, plus the resultant effects upon America and its way of life. Much was made in this movie about the how and why we have reached the place we are now as far as our educational system goes, but few realize how deep the historical roots of our educational system’s demise truly go. The men I mention before from the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s, have much to do with our place in the world today, and it is a part of the oldest battle known to mankind.

Orwell was Overt

Many once believed that there was a social conscience behind making school attendance a law. Little did they know that the powers that be had much different ideas as to what schooling should really be, and what its place for our society should be. In truth, schooling was a pawn of a highly centralized corporate economy, and a system of finance that wanted to become internationalized. The strong, centralized political state needed our schools too, and education was secretly looked upon as a tool for governing, and also a branch of industry. In a time of anger and contempt against illegal immigrants, those who were managing society were open and honest as to their motivations for their actions.

Woodrow Wilson said it best in a speech before World War I: "What we want is for one class to have a liberal education. We want another class, a very much larger class of necessity, to forgo the privilege of a liberal education and fit themselves to perform specific difficult manual tasks." (i.e. a servant class, so to speak)

In 1917, the largest administrative jobs in schooling were held by a group called “The Education Trust”. It’s members included representatives of Rockefeller, Carnegie, Harard, Stanford, The University of Chicago and the National Education Association. The chief purpose of the meeting was, as EVOLUTIONIST Benjamin Kidd said in 1918: "To impose on the young the ideal of subordination.”

American independence and entrepreneurship were now slated for being weeded out of the American way of life. Creators like Franklin or Edison were to be curtailed and discouraged. Immense investments of money for industry to provide mass production and also to reap mass income were not justifiable if America truly believed that every man could make something by himself and for himself that could bring income from outside of his sphere of influence. The dream of American industry was contained within the "grunt pool" of students who would see themselves as employees whose main purpose was to make management happy.

Something called overproduction was a big bugaboo word among industry in the 1880’s-1920’s. Psychology was a new and “magic” thing, despite its inherent lack of any real evidence for its major stipulations, and industry jumped at the chance to use this new information to manipulate Americans into throwing away the possibility of independent production that would compete with the larger industrial complex. The writings of Alexander Inglis hold no punches in outlining schooling’s place in the grand scheme of lining the pockets of major industry at the expense of independent, creative production and the potential future of American students.

Get Them When They Are Young

Long range social engineering may seem to you and me as a preposterous concept, something out of a science fiction novel, but sometimes those sci fi novel writers know more than perhaps even they realize at the time. The facts are though, that long range social engineering has impacted our educational system for over a century now. A tome called: Public Education in the United States by Ellwood P. Cubberley (1934), puts it quite plainly:

"It has become desirable that children should not engage in productive labor. On the contrary, all recent thinking ....(is) opposed to their doing so. Both the interests of organized labor and the interests of the nation have set against child labor."

This quote comes from a section of the book called: A New Lengthening of the Period of Dependence. It is explained that the arrival of the factory system has made extending dependent childhood necessary. Children must now be deprived of the training and education that farm and village life once provided. With the subsequent breakdown of home and village industries, all in the name of progress and the potential mass income from a dependent market, the passing on of work done in the home and the apprenticeship industry would now give way to large scale production and a division of labor. An army of workers would then arise, as it did, all in the service of modern industry.

The sweetness of intimate American home life could not be allowed to stand in the way of progress. Now in the halls of education the old book-subject ways of teaching had to be overcome. It was now time to adapt a new psychology of instruction that came to us from abroad. Not coincidentally, this new wave of so called intellectualism was the very same force that would transform the Christian church in America from something grounded in firm belief to something liberalized which would one day, after World War II, accept atheist existentialist equivocations. If you have ever wondered where the term “The dumbing down of America” got its start, this is the time period. All of Europe, once a bastion of the clarion call of Christianity had recently lost its soul to the “new teachings” of humanists like Freud, Darwin and soon, Kierkegaard also. England, France and Germany, major world powers of coal energy, had adopted this new dumbed down schooling technique some time earlier and had turned their populace into an industrial proletariat long before the American infection happened.

In 1905, Cubberley wrote in a dissertation paper: “Schools should be factories, where the raw product of children are to be shaped and formed into a finished product. This product, manufactured like nails, should be determined by government and industry.”

In a book by Arthur Calhoun (1919) named: Social History of the Family, he declared that the fondest wish of utopian writers was now coming true: the child was passing from its family into the custody of community experts. His forecast was that, in time, public schools would be able to “check” the mating of the unfit. John Hylan, Mayor of New York announced in a speech some three years later that: "the schools had been seized as an octopus would seize prey... by an invisible government." His comments referred to the Rockefeller foundation and other corporate interests in New York city that proceeded the riots in 1917 at many schools.

Happy Days were here again! Mankind had finally surpassed the wretched history of the past.

The 1920’s saw the monster of forced schooling bear fangs and sprout wings. The stock market too had shown amazing growth, as anyone alive today who remembers the movie, It’s a Wonderful Life, can tell you. A book from 1928 called: A Sociological Philosophy of Education, stated: "It is the role of teachers to run not merely schools, but the world." Edward Thorndike, the creator of educational psychology announced to the academic world that: “Academic subjects are of little value.” His contemporaries also agreed that the whole business of rearing the young was now being transformed by "experts". Those "experts" were people just like you and me, however their allegiance to pure education values without secondary agendas can always be questioned, and truly, how many in such a position of power every really succeed at keeping things streamlined toward the benefit of the individuals they serve. I mean, really.... name some, .....please.

Doctor Doom is just a comic book character

President Max Mason of the Rockefeller Foundation was telling his buddies about something called “the control of human behavior” right about this time. Schooling was a major tenant of the program.

These folks were intensely interested in the work of German scientist, Hermann Muller, who had used X Rays to override genetic law, creating mutations in fruit flies. This lead these men to believe that perhaps life itself could be controlled. Muller put forth the idea that planned breeding could bring mankind to the paradise that he longed for with or without God, and probably faster. ( I kid you not!) The greatest scientists of the day and also those of the economic world who held sway, lauded him with many accolades.

Muller won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work. He wrote a “Geneticist Manifesto” and a handful of the worlds top scientists signed on with him. It was now the state’s job to consciously guide human sexual selection, so said Muller. School would separate the good stock for breeding and eliminate those who were unfit. All hail the law of unnatural selection.

Right about this time a leader of the National Education Association announced that: “Education would accomplish what dictators in Europe hope to do by force”
World War II then came along and pretty much screwed everything up. Not only for this project of human genetic selection, but it also disillusioned the populace who had come to believe that the new version of Christianity that had allowed them to operate on their own instead of being subject to God, had failed them. School was now a battle ground for the scientific and religious rationalization of social affairs through compulsory indoctrination. As in all muggings of this kind, one need only follow the money trail. That trail lead to private corporate foundations.

Tune in and Drop out, baby

Some thirty odd years later, with American society, and now a lot of the external world, bamboozled by the quasi intellectualism and rampant confusion of meaning that infected our everyday conversations, all thanks to men the likes of Hegle and Kierkegaard, intellectual philanderers in their own right, teacher training in our schools was revamped by a small number of large foundations, think tanks, and government agencies, and covertly so. The U.S. Office of Education coordinated the whole thing by manipulating the key education departments of major schools in California, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York.

Major tenants of the transformation included:

1) Designing Education for the Future, a government exercise in futurology.

2) The Behavioral Science Teacher Education Project

3) Benjamin Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, this was a huge volume which had a far reaching effect on all education, even to our day today.

Designing Education, an early victim of existentialist equivocation, REDEFINED the term “education”, as existentialists are always ready to do. It was now defined as: “an important means to achieve economic and social goals of a national character.” State education agencies were now on site federal enforcers. They were there to ensure the compliance of local schools with central directives. Directives devised and put forth by “soldiers of the government” who just happened not to wear jack boots to work.

Curiously, each state education department was now directed to become an agent of change. They were to lose their independent identity and authority as well as becoming a partner with the federal government.

The Behavioral Science Teacher Education Project projected the future as one in which a small elite will control all important matters. (Sound familiar????) Teaching reforms were to be forced on the country after 1967. (And records show a huge slide in our education production ever since the early 1970’s) According to this tome, participatory democracy must be eliminated. Children must be convinced that their classmates are so cruel and irresponsible, so unable to be self disciplined, and so ignorant that they require being controlled for society’s own good. School terror now becomes good advertising at this point. Mass schooling was now a tool for the display of human inadequacy. It’s jarring to see a movie like the recent “Flipped”, where kids are actually good and not naturally aggressive, which fictionally took place in the late 1950’s, and then to consider the world of youth just ten years later with all its drug culture and challenge to authority. Its main tenants of protest were more commercial than factual.

Post modern schooling was now to focus on “pleasure cultivation”, much like saying in an Old Testament way, “Worship Baal, my children.” Other attitudes and skills must be cultivated which are easier to use in a non-work related format of life. “Dumb down”, eat, drink and be merry, let the government guide you. (As I have said before in other posts, a colony of artists cannot survive on its own, but is reliant on the surrounding practical production of society's infrastructure.)

This is where the socialization of the classroom now happened, and the slide of school performance seen in “Waiting on Superman” began. No longer was it about mental development or character development, for the existentialists had rendered those terms meaningless. School was one big lab, one big social lab, for an unseen government experiment.

Not coincidentally, in the 1960’s, as the tide of cancer known as existential philosophy, Keynesian economics, Freudian psychology, Atheistic Dewey-an education and Darwinian evolution took their hold, and the Bible was slowly shown the door in America’s homes and schools, there was a tremendous rise in school violence and general school chaos. (Thank you, Soren.) This added to the transformation of America’s schools and also its compliance and reliance on government intervention. Discipline now became a derivative of the court system. Due process was now the way to deal with kids. Teachers were stripped (seemingly from necessity) of any way to keep kids controlled in the classroom due to the requirements of due process and its slow march toward the hell that is called a trial. Mischievous kids are everywhere, and they act up. There is no way to deal with them over a series of months while following government procedure and still receive the results that a classroom of kids requires.

With teacher’s hands tied, bad kids influenced the rest of the crowd and promoted a kind of "insolent coo" within the classrooms of America. Now, each time there was a campus calamity, this received press and proved the need for the design and control of “experts”. What happened to the kids of “Flipped”? Where have you gone Richie Cunningham? Time for the emergency measures of special education and the over prescribing of Ritalin.

Teachers were now instructed to deal with bad behavior as social psychologists or therapists, who would take practical action in the classroom. Curriculum had been re-defined, as existentialism is want to do, so now teaching too, was re-defined.

The last of the “new gospel” texts, Benjamin Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, is in his own words: "a tool to classify the ways individuals are to act, think, or feel as a result of some instruction." George Orwell would have been proud... or maybe chagrined. Using popular psychology, kids were now taught proper thoughts, feelings and actions, and to have improper attitudes (as defined by the state) “re-mediated” which they brought from home. For instance, believe Darwin, not Holy Scripture.

Testing was now also a way to measure a child’s mental state on an official rating scale. Such paradigms as “mastery learning”, “outcome based education” and “school to work” government business collaborations grew from a need to classify individuals for the convenience of social managers and business. Data was provided by these tests for the desire to control the minds and movements of the young.

It was Social engineering of the next adult generation.

American health-care crisis... political watchwords used in countless situations in Washington to strike fear into the souls of man. The current healthcare system is in need of reform. Unfortunately, our left thinking friends seek a strategy for reform that cripples, rather than stimulates, the situation of the American healthcare system. By proposing a single-payer system shown over and over again as a threat to the well-being of American families, a potential obstruction to quality care, and stifling of American individualism against an ever-encroaching Federal government, the Democratic Party has succumbed to the conclusions that Europe made 40 years ago. The people of Europe were ahead with a more socialized medical system, and these countries are coming to grips with the astronomical failures of socialized medicine in their own lands.

Even as early as 1964, an aspiring Western politician named Ronald Wilson Reagan spoke out against “socialized medicine”, by any other names, including, “public options” and “single-payer systems”, as detrimental to American freedoms.

Included in the Democratic push for governmental intrusion into healthcare is Michael Bennet, our freshman senator. His speech given on the Senate floor mimicked Democratic sentiments on reform, citing the local example of Grand Junction’s healthcare program as visualization for a Federal system. The Western Slope community’s shift towards a centralized medical system was a local decision made by its citizens, not by Federal mandate. What makes our country great is the delegation of power from the Federal government to state and local authorities to maximize individual liberties. This difference allowed the citizens of Grand Junction to alter their system, successfully.

Ironically, the very successes cited by Senator Bennet come as a direct result of less Federal power, as opposed to an increase in Federal controls. Population in Mesa County hovers around 120,000. A similar system would probably not see success rates when mandated by bureaucrats in Washington D. C. Senator Bennet’s insistence that follow-up care does reduce overall long-term costs may be true, but the choice should remain in the hands of a free market where hospitals and insurance companies help determine how to merge this into business costs.

Senator Bennet raised concerns about whether American families will be able to keep their private healthcare if they wish to do so following the introduction of the public option. The public option will create incredible barriers to private care access. For instance, businesses offering insurance to their employees, given increased tax burdens and rising inflation, will be compelled to drastically reduce, or sever completely, insurance to workers, causing an increasing use of the “free” public system. According to Ed Feulner, President of the Heritage Foundation, as many as 119 million Americans will be left with the public option as the only option. Claiming the individual choice to retain private care is inconsistent with the outcome of the single-payer system, and will result in less freedom for families to make important decisions about their healthcare plans.

Socialized medicine, once limited to political organizations, has now filtered over into groups like the American Medical Association, who have expressed concern over President Obama’s plan for healthcare. I commend these doctors, who continue to stand against political sweet-talk and promote the valuable services they offer our nation. Their efforts reflect the American Medical Associations empathy for patients’ rights.

There are many countries where socialized medicine is the norm. However, I must point out that government run health is not effective. Examples from Canada include people that can afford American Health Care cross the border to get immediate care due to the long wait in Canada if people in countries with socialized medicine are in need of surgery or special care they are told that in order to see doctors they will have to wait for weeks and sometimes months. In Japan the care is slow and they are one of the most advanced countries in the world, but they have a single pay system that is not working. The government of Japan is now talking about an increase in the single pay system since the funds are not there to support the program. This is another problem with a government run program. The governments cut services to reduce the cost of running the program, have fewer doctors and raise fees as needed. The people of the country lose all choices and are totally at the mercy of the government.

I watched in Honduras as a friend’s daughter of 25 had stomach problems and went to the doctor. Because she was not wealthy and could notget ahead in the line she stood in line for two days, yes two days. Once there she was told she needed an x-ray. It was scheduled for weeks later. She died a few days later. This is not a rare case.

In Canada the death rate for cancer is much higher than the US due to one drug not being made available in Canada since it is too expensive. Therefore, unless people go to the US to obtain it their cancer is not stopped.

Another area in which Democrats and Republicans should easily be able to find common ground is in fighting healthcare fraud.

If you think this is just tinkering around the edges of healthcare reform, you’re wrong. Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), a doctor, believes that fully one-third of all health spending is wasted on defensive medicine, red tape and outright fraud. In a system that will spend $2.5 trillion this year, that means that more than $800 billion will go to unnecessary, unproductive and fully preventable spending. I believe that America desperately needs a real change in health care that will never happen if we can’t get beyond this endless debate over government-run healthcare.

A good start are the suggested principles stated by Past House Speaker Newt Gingrich. The fact is, command-and-control from Washington doesn’t work. Competition, choice and individual control will produce the health system Americans want.

To truly bring down costs and expand coverage we must build a bipartisan agreement focused on four things:

1. Improving individual health by incentivizing prevention, wellness and early health.
2. Giving doctors and hospitals incentives to deliver high-quality care through fair and proper payments.
3. Reforming public programs like Medicare and Medicaid to root out fraud, cut waste and reward quality.
4. Empowering individuals with the information and financial resources they need to be better, more-informed consumers.

The Center for Health Transformation has developed an approach that will improve individual health, lower costs and deliver the best possible care. Tell your representative that any health reform bill must have these basic principles. Please Google Center for Health Transformation.

America can’t afford to let health care move to government control. Americans lives will change beyond anyone’s expectations and the downward spiral of the past America way of life will begin.

I urge you to contact your senators and representatives in Congress and say no to government run health care.

Can you handle the truth ? All this nonsense needs to stop! People need to wake up to the reality of what is truly going on with this country known as America. Most importantly, this raises the defining question, do you really wish to be classified as a U.S. Citizen? When I ask people -- Are you a US Citizen? .... and of course, most say YES, then I inform them about the US Code, actual citing 28 USC 3002 (15) A] http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode28/usc_sec_28_00003002----000-.html and it defines the UNITED STATES as a corporation; then I ask them, “can you be a Citizen of Wal-Mart or Microsoft “? then of course they say NO, but then some try to say, well this is a country....which my response to that is ....not by definition it is not!

The united States of America was a nation set up as a republic, but when you read this link: www.barefootsworld.net/usfraud.html you find out when that all changed in 1933 and why it is now a corporation.

The UNITED STATES CODE (USC) is the UNITED STATES corporation’s governing code, period. Then some will attempt to say that they are citizens of the “California” (insert any State here) Republic. Ok, but there is no longer a Republic, anywhere, any more! People need to start reading and understanding how attorneys/ lawyers have altered the meaning of some common every day words to serve the corporation’'s purposes. Some may call it legalese, and of course that is what it is.... but this has all been cloaked on purpose.

The attorneys, serving their masters, the international banking cartel or “banksters”, used legal trickery to form these non-existent legal entities -- cities, counties, states, supposed federal governments, and in doing so, have created a monster big brother police state corporation.

Yes, indeed, boys and girls, the STATES are not sovereign as some people think, they are all under the big corporate umbrella --UNITED STATES -- and interestingly enough, this happened in 1933 as well. www.csg.org or go research the USC ! In 1933, the government was incorporated, or commercialized. To Commercialize means to “EXPLOIT.” Therein lies the reason why the powers that be, “THE ATTORNEYS”, change this conventional government to a legal fiction. This was to exploit with words, and done by the very men or women that hide behind the names or words.

Excerpt from book, “WOE UNTO YOU LAWYERS”, written in 1939 by the late Fred Rodell, Professor of Law, Yale University: It is the lawyers who run our civilization for us - our governments, our business, our private lives. Most legislators are lawyers; they make our laws. Most presidents, governors, commissioners, along with their advisers and brain-trusters are lawyers; they administer our laws. All the judges are lawyers; they interpret and enforce our laws. There is no separation of powers where the lawyers are concerned. There is only a concentration of all government power - in the lawyers. As the schoolboy put it, ours is “a government of lawyers, not of men.”

It is not the businessmen, no matter how big, who run our economic world. Again it is the lawyers, the lawyers who “advise” and direct every time a company is formed, every time a bond or a share of stock is issued, almost every time material is to be bought or goods to be sold, every time a deal is made. The whole elaborate structure of industry and finance is a lawyer-made house. We all live in it, but the lawyers run it.

Okay, so let’s put this real simply, someone nearly has to look at a city’s police car to find out who they (the police officers) are truly “protecting and serving”. Okay, now I know that all society’s need order and a set of laws. I’m an advocate of common law myself. If you don’t know what that is, go look it up. To get an idea how whacky this corporation driven system has become, people who are working for these corporations after a while realize that there is indeed some thing terribly wrong, but most just keep their mouths shut, because it is job security and they say “hey, I am just doing my job”.

Our lives are pretty busy these days, so there’s a pretty good chance that you weren’t aware of a new California state bill which was passed a last year and took effect a while ago. Better sit down for this one, it’s a doozy! On October 12th, Govern-ator Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law California Senate Bill 777. That bill eliminates Education Code 212, which defines “sex” as “the biological condition or quality of being a male or female human being.”

In effect, the bill redefines the term “gender” for all schoolchildren by adding Educational Code 210.7, which will read: “’Gender’” means sex, and includes a person’s gender identity and gender related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person’s assigned sex at birth.” In other words, it is a redefinition of gender that says you are whatever you choose to be regardless of your anatomical makeup. It tells kids that just because you are born a little girl or little boy, it doesn’t mean that you are.

Public schools have been teaching cultural, social, and moral relativism for years. Now they’ll be promoting sexual relativism too. All lifestyles are equally wonderful. All sexual orientation is equally wonderful. If you’re a little boy, but you want to be like your sister – well, go for it. Dress like her. That’s okay.

The ridiculous law has effectively banned use of the terms “mom” and “dad” from California schools. The reason? Using those terms promotes a discriminatory bias against alternative lifestyle parents. I never thought I’d live to see the day when “mommy” and “daddy” would be considered bad words. All kinds of vulgarity and foul language are just fine in these modern, progressive times – but you better not say “mom” and “dad!” That’s wrong! What country am I living in anyway?

It’s important to understand that this stuff will be taught to all children in the public school system beginning in kindergarten! Various Christian grassroots organizations have now joined together in calling for an “exodus” from the California public school system. The coalition includes Eagle Forum, the Campaign for Children and Families, and Exodus Mandate, as well as ten others.

Phyllis Schlafly, President of Eagle Forum, in an interview with Christian Newswire said the following: “Many of us have worked to reform public schools. Unfortunately, SB 777 and the related legislation represent a repudiation of 2,000 years of Christian moral teaching on human sexuality, marriage, and the family. The result is that California’s schools are now promoting behaviors and lifestyles that are physically and spiritually dangerous for children. Consequently, in California, parents must try to find alternatives to the public schools.”

Randy Thomasson, chief of the Campaign for Children and Families, is one of those who originally called for an abandonment of public schools. “First, the law allowed public schools to voluntarily promote homosexuality, bisexuality, and trans sexuality,” Thomasson said. “Then the law required public schools to accept homosexual, bisexual, and transsexual teachers as role models for impressionable children. Now the law has been changed to effectively require the positive portrayal of homosexuality, bisexuality, and trans sexuality to six million children in California’s government-controlled schools. To rescue their children, loving parents need to find an alternative to government schools, and every church needs to make it a priority to help parents be in charge of their children’s education again.”

Alternative lifestyle groups claim that all they want is the end of discriminatory bias. Officials with the Gay-Straight Alliance Network and the Trans gender Law Center already have outlined what they believe to be nondiscriminatory treatment in the school system. “If you want to use a restroom that matches your gender identity… you should be allowed to do so,” the groups advise. “Whenever students are divided up into boys and girls, you should be allowed to join the group or participate in the program that matches your gender identity as much as possible.”

Further, the groups advise, “If you change your name to one that better matches your gender identity, a school needs to use that name to refer to you.” Get it? Take your choice. Who do you feel like being today – Max or Maxine? The advocacy group also warns schools against bringing parents into any such discussion with students. Yeah, keep those parents out of this by all means. It takes a village, not parents.

This is not about having tolerance for others. This goes way beyond that. This is not just tolerating, or accepting those who may be different from us – this is about promoting alternative lifestyles and selling the idea to young impressionable children without parents having a say in it.

That’s the deal. So, if you desire a good, solid, sensible education for your kids without state indoctrination, you’d better think about getting them out of the California school system, and quick. And that, as Robert Blake used to say, is the name of that tune.
