Think Of The Homeless

There are over 30 million Americans who live on the streets of our nation. Can you consider giving something to a shelter near you? Your fellow human beings need socks because they walk everywhere. Food and shelter are great too, if they will take them. So please give.

Sex, Lies and Indifference Part 3

Sex, Lies and Indifference

part 3

“... For if God did not spare the Angles when they sinned, but sent them to Hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgement; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others: if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly, and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men.... if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue Godly men from trails and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgement, while continuing their punishment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority.”

“....They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed. ....”

“...These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words, and by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity - for a man is a slave of whatever has mastered him. ...”

 - Excerpts from 2 Peter 2

The Lies of Baal

One of the first questions we have to answer for ourselves when we consider our lives and the paths we take along life’s highway is this: Who are we going to believe? I have discussed in this blog the problems of our educational system, atheist beliefs, Darwinian Evolution and several other so called truths about our reality here on the planet Earth, and one of the main subjects that always comes up is, “Who are you going to believe?”

In education, a man named Gregor Hegel, a known atheist and existentialist, got his grubby little hands on our education system and its methods of operation, and today we have a major mess on our hands for future generations; that is if indeed there are any future generations. Hegel is also known for his philosophy of finite and infinite reality. He would tell you, “A person cannot know the infinite, for man is finite and cannot know the infinite.” To many, that makes good sense. What he fails to mention is that the infinite is NOT some cosmic jelly floating around in space. The answer to him, of course, is that God is indeed infinite and capable of making himself known to the finite, namely in this case, mankind. God himself has made it clear that this life we know of is HIS  universe, not ours, and in order to be a part of the eternity before us, we MUST know him. There is no such reality where you will NOT bump into the “inconvenient” presence of God. Also, it is not in his nature to require something of you that is impossible, when that happens, he has been known to take it on the chin himself. Hegel wouldn’t tell you that, because he was an atheist. Therefore, “Who are you going to believe?”

A very long time ago, there was a major move of “religion” among the inhabitants of the earth. There were many different peoples of various names and various places all over the known world who, under myriad names all felt the need to worship a deity that is, essentially the same thing, no matter where it originates from, it is named “Baal”.

King of Porn

Baal worship entails all the worst aspects of pornography, human rights violations, abuse of women, and also children, not to mention murder of the innocent. There were great temples where worship was all inclusive of prostitution. Men and women actually served at these temples where getting your next orgasm was an act of worship. Huge sexual orgies would take place all in the name of the local “Baal God”, and this is not to mention the Asherah phallic symbols erected next to the altars of Baal. Ashera (Asteroth) was the wife of Baal, the female counterpart and her symbol was something like a huge penis, in reality probably a large tree with no branches or leaves. Since Baal was all about rampant sex practices, it’s no stretch of the imagination to see that Ashera poles are exactly that, a big penis.

Baal worshipers also sacrificed children. They would place their own young in the flames of the idols mouth (furnace) while either singing loud hymns and or playing lots of loud drums and other instruments in order to drown out the horrified screams of young babies and kids who were burned to death in worship of Baal. Stop and try to imagine that kind of scene for yourself for just a moment. If you have a child, try to think about that when you next read them a bedtime story. Reprehensible, right? How much anger and fight would you have if you were there at such a sacrifice? And yet, this is fully historically documented as the way things used to be. All for an orgasm.

Were these people lied to? Well, you and I would think so today in our day and age. Or at least we SHOULD think so. But try to remember what I have just told you about the diamond trade. Will you stop buying diamonds for anniversaries? Will men stop using diamonds to propose marriage? Why should they, its what we’ve always done, no matter the lie.

Baal, like Gregor Hegel, would have you believe that the universe is really OURS. We can have all the promiscuous sex, drunken parties, laws that protect immorality and tolerance of offensive behavior that separates us from God, all we want. There will be no recompense. God doesn’t exist so eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die. Or do we?

Baal worship is all about licentious behavior (besides other things), and the big problem is that it has mankind by the “short and curlies”. Sex is tough to fight. Sex is tough to ignore. But mostly, sex is perhaps the biggest tool to use in keeping you concentrated on the physical and ignoring the spiritual. Like a drug, it calls to you, it drives you, it even has a place in the creative process. Some of the greatest works of man have been formulated out of the sex drive channeled into creativity. This is hard to ignore. Music is a prime example. Some of the best classical music even has a “sex drive” to it that echoes the flesh. Think about that, why does some music please you and other music leave you flat? It has to appeal to your flesh, even in your individual predilections of music. And that’s just one example.

Let’s take a look at this attitude right out of the Bible...

“But she carried her prostitution still further. She saw men portrayed on a wall, figures of Chaldeans portrayed in red, with belts around their waists and flowing turbans on their heads: all of them looked like Babylonian chariot officers, natives of Chaldea. As soon as she saw them, she lusted after them and sent messengers to them in Chaldea. Then the Babylonians came to her, to the bed of love, and in their lust they defiled her. After she had been defiled by them, she turned away from them in disgust. When she carried on her prostitution openly and exposed her nakedness, I turned away from her in disgust, just as I had turned away from her sister. Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of a horse. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.”

 - Ezekiel 23:14-21

Sound like porn? You bet. (Notice this is sex outside of marriage) Don’t be shocked, the Bible is full of sex. Not much changes in mankind’s state. The clothes and the names change, the industry gets more complex, the technology is born in efforts to satisfy the imaginary. But mankind doesn’t change much.

Much of the known world was focused on the above concept of pleasing the physical drive and desire. They had absolutely no idea of any other type of spiritual reality beyond that which served their own lustful desires. Sex was chief among these desires, and as an addicted and brainwashed  commonality, there would be no turning them back, even at the expense of killing their own children.

Just Leave Us Alone to Do What We Want

Times were different then, of course, and all one needs to do to realize this is to look at some of the stories of the Israelites as they traveled through the desert and into the land God had promised them which was hugely populated by sex addicts. Yep, sex addicts.

One of the other great questions you have to ask yourself, if you don’t believe in the truth of the stories of the Bible, then: “What are you going to do with the Jews?” Set apart to be a living example of the reality of God’s relationship to man, they are a fine example of all that is wrong with the inner life of mankind. If it had not been for the existence of the Jews, none of this I am writing today would have any significance, but you can’t ignore them, warts and all. The Jews are here, and we have the example of their history and their relationship to God, down through the ages.

In their invasion of the promised land, they had to commit all sorts of human rights atrocities. They were ordered by God to burn down entire villages, to hunt down and kill even women and children. They were invaders from a far off land. What did the inhabitants of the towns in that part of the world have to do with the Israelis? We’re all just happy to be sitting here having our Baal worship, our orgy festivals, our child sacrifice. Just leave us be. Tolerate us, we have the same rights that you have. But Joshua and his men overran everything, they did indeed chase down helpless women and children and put them to the sword. Can you imagine the horror?

Who were these people? Well, if you follow the Bible, they were Israel’s brothers and sisters. They weren’t set apart by the promise to Abraham, but the same blood ran beneath them. They were all the descendants of Noah, as you and I are also, according to the Word of God. But, “Who are you going to believe?”
Asherah Poles Today?

Much time passed from the days of Noah until the days of Israel’s invasion of the promised land and the people had long since forgotten that they had any attachment to Noah, or much less God himself at all. Well, neither did Egypt, they forgot Joseph rather quickly. So this is not unheard of.  But look at where the descendants of Noah  ended up, and this was fairly common. Egypt had its sex rituals too, but they were more interested in death. Do we have a fixation with sex and death today? Hmmm...
Notice the human skulls beneath Asherah

Here we have the descendants of the righteous Noah, worshipping the sexual rights of Baal and killing their young in thanks for this weeks blessings, or orgasms, depending on how you view this sort of thing. They were miles away from the  position God would have them be at, and he ordered them destroyed. In our day, its hard to imagine this sort of thing would have been necessary, surely we could have rehabilitated them, surely we could find some more humane way of stopping their hedonistic ways. But why would they even listen? Sex is tough to fight. They had always done things that way, and it had them trapped. The lie became the truth.

Considering further, there is the story of Ruth.  Here you have a young woman who was married to one of the sons of another woman named Naomi. Naomi had a husband herself, and two sons who were both married. At one point they all moved from the town they lived in due to a famine that was happening, and they lived in a another place as a family. Eventually all the men died. The wife, Naomi, was left with the two daughters in law, and she told them she was returning to her former home and the two girls should go back to their own former homes. One of the daughters eventually goes home, but Ruth demands to stay with Naomi. In fact, Ruth gives up her entire life to remain with her mother in law. Ruth deeply loved Naomi, even though they were only marriage relations (despite the long term genetic ties). Naomi agrees and they both return home. Eventually Ruth meets a man and marries him , then she becomes a part of the lineage that leads to King David.

My point here is that you had two women who loved each other. Were they lesbians? No, Ruth marries a man of stature eventually. But notice how it is totally possible for a woman to love another woman. It is also possible for a man to love another man. In Europe you just might be greeted with kisses on both cheeks, man to man. This doesn’t make them homosexuals. Here in America, we tend to stand at a bit of a difference from each other as we chat socially, but Europeans will get right up in your face, they have no such social space between them. So here’s the question: Is it possible to be a homosexual without the sex?

As I have said, we are supposed to love our neighbor as ourselves. This means we care for other human beings with the same magnitude we would for ourselves. Labelling of “man love” and “woman love” as only a sexual thing, robs many a lonely person of physical social contact. A hug can be seen, eventually as only something “homosexual”. That’s a sad thing. Things aren’t this bad yet, but as I have illustrated so far, when the sex act and the sexualized life become the main focus of our lives, it takes over. It directs and drives and even begins to make decisions in our lives based upon it’s stifling, redundant demands.

One need only look at young girls, 4 or 5 years old  who are given high heel shoes to wear as fashion, or even worse, those beauty pageants for children, to see that over sexualized thinking is taking hold in our society. Why is this dangerous? Because it always has been. And the increase in  the homosexual component of our society is in direct result to this rise in the “worship” of sexualization. We’re lead to believe that it’s all a matter of tolerance, but who are we to think that we are any better or different than the  myriad of societies that have all come before us? People have been people forever. We’ve all had sex forever. We’ve all fallen for many of the traps and inconveniences sex provides to us, even ancient peoples. Why should we feel we are any different? Any superior? Is there perhaps a big lie happening right before our eyes?

Aristotle the Opinionated

You know who Aristotel was, he was the teacher of Alexander the Great. Alexander captured most of what was the known world in his lifetime. Aristotle philosophies have influenced much of the western world of thought, even in our day. Did you know that Aristotle once lived for a time on the island of Lesbos? You know Lesbos, that’s the island where we get the term “lesbian” from. According to a book on Alexander, Aristotle is quoted as saying, “Lesbos was a vast intellectual wasteland.” That’s some tough stuff, for we know today that such a thing is not necessarily the case in our society. We have many smart women in high end fields of industry, finance, and yes, of course the arts, who openly claim to be lesbian. It’s a curious thing how many who claim lesbian and homosexual proclivities have an abundance of talent also. But let me ask you, have you ever seen any of the great works from Lesbos? Where are the great temples? Where are the cities built on a hill? Where are the paintings, literature and other historical remnants that most societies leave behind? And lastly, where are their descendants?
Isle of  Lesbos

Well, the last question is a bit of a stretch, because obviously there would be none. Your right, they can’t reproduce. But with a surrounding society of productive industry, the homosexual element flourishes. The “cushier” things become, the more sexual dalliance rears its head. In the end a society of lesbians are all dead. Lesbos is a fine example of how the sexual element is paramount. It IS about sex. And as we have seen, when given primary place in our lives, sex takes over. History has shown this over and over again. And for nations like Rome and Greece. It eventually  puts and end to them, or at least has a primary place in the dissolution.

But let’s talk science for just a moment. There are elements of the blood called androgens (and testosterone) and estrogens that belong solely to men and women respectively. I remember when I was a little younger, I dated a young lady in her twenties who had not dated all that much in her life, and we hit it off quite well. Back then, I was quite the kisser (no, really!) and of course since we were close we kissed a lot. Incredibly, this twenty something young lady, who had always had a certain breast size for most of her adult life, had developed a whole cup size within a few years of our relationship. We were both amazed. Well, as it turns out, this was always in her potential, but the trigger for development had never been thrown, so we were told by a physician. How did we throw this trigger?  We traded spit, of course, and in doing so received  those blood elements of androgen and estrogen from each other. Little does anyone really suspect the role such things play in the bonding of two people. Just try to remember a bad breakup you have had and how rotten you felt for a time after you no longer saw this person anymore. Part of that lousy feeling is chemical withdrawal. Men and women were made this way, this was no million year long evolution for keeping people together. And, of course, this works for trading other body fluids, too, but I think I have made my point without going there.

I am not one who agrees with the Catholic Church in the idea that marriage is only for procreation. No, no... it is also the bonding of two people who become one. They have sex with only one person on the planet and they trade physical intimacy, body fluids, emotional ties and deep knowledge of each other. This is the "glue" which helps to cement the relationship. Multiple partners destroy this ability. Scientifically, according to the blood, men can’t trade the correct body fluids among themselves and neither can women. And I haven’t even pointed out the fact that the sex organs are very determinant.

Now, in a universe where there is no creator, no ultimate authority, none of this matters. Go ahead, have all the homosexual unions you want. But then you would also not need all those psyscology studies and  entire websites with volumes and volumes of “intellectual figuring” to defend the “homosexual right”.  Innocent people don’t defend themselves. If you have an attraction to the same sex, your creator would like you to come to him with the matter, he knew you before you were born. It’s no accident that you have the sex organs you have, and those determine your sexual destiny, whether you like it or not. It’s not OUR universe.

Let me just say right here, as I have defended those who are different races who “love each other” and the science facts that there really is no such thing as race, I also stand for the people involved in this subject. Those who claim homosexuality are part of the human condition, but they are still people we are to love. And I mean love as in taking care of them, not in the “sexual” way. They are NOT to be threatened, bullied or treated as something less than human, because they are INDEED human, and our bothers and sisters. They also need God as much as you and I, and to throw hate their way is to show them the opposite of a loving creator. Hate is never an option.

WTF?

We as human beings have a strange, weird connection to sex. Just look at the language we use. When we are angry or frustrated, we often come out with  the “F” word. “F*** you”, is a consistently common  curse with many, many people, and yet, how many of us think about the fact that it is hate language. How can we curse someone with F*** you, when you and I both know we LIKE to indulge in this activity. You know you do. So do I. But if you have ever gone to a Seth Rogen movie, you know he uses the term like a machete. He stabs and stabs with the F word over and over again. How can people WANT to see this in a movie? Why is it cathartic? It feeds something within doesn’t it? It actually relieves something in there, in our mind, spirit and emotions. Doesn’t it?

It’s the same with cursing using Jesus’ name. How many movies have you seen where the fight brings out a “Jesus Christ!” cursing? Have you ever considered how nothing else works like that one does? You can’t say “Mohammed! Get the F*** out of here!” It doesn’t work. Neither does, “Buddha! Get the F*** out of here!” Only “Jesus Christ” is cathartic. And that’s for everyone. Movies prove it. That, my friend, is called “empirical evidence”.

What does that have to do with sex? Well, its interesting how we as people are connected to and satisfied by that kind of cursing. Especially the cursing involving the name of Jesus. This proves our connection, at least on some level to God and Jesus and not something or someone else. Consider that the misuse of  the sexual part of our lives may also be much in the same vein as the cathartic use of cursing in human society. If we are not using sex as the creator of our own bodies designates, this may indeed be cathartic  for many. It’s a way of “slapping God” in a form we are indifferent to understand.

So, no matter what we are talking about; be it believing lies about diamonds meaning love, pornography  being harmless and homosexuality being natural and normal, it actually feels good and right and normal to our fallen state against God to believe so. Once we all realize how these deceptions actually produce hate and separation among us and also God himself, we can being the process of deciding, on any of these issues, “Who are we going to believe?.........”

“.............hate, ....or love?”

Reviews by Hubie Goode: Sex, Lies and Indifference

Sex, Lies and Indifference

part 2

It is not just a matter of love that is marketed in the form of moneymaking properties. Lust is also marketed. It begins with our kids. They are marketed sex all the time now. There is little one can do besides going away to live on a mountain if you want to have any modicum of control over the way sex is perceived and ultimately experienced by the young. TV Stations can schedule more adult fair at a later time all they want to, but now even commercials have sexual innuendo and flat out sexual suggestion that would have made the innocent blush only 40 years ago.

I can’t imagine the pressures young 12 year old kids go through today as they begin to experience the changes that come with puberty, only to be told that they are not part of the “in crowd “ if they don’t have some sort of sexual activity going on in their lives. Boys feel this pressure as well as girls, and they have only a rudimentary knowledge of the biology involved. Unfortunately for kids, the schools are only allowed to be concerned about mechanics and not character, and parents must provide the moral support, or the kids get none of that. What happens is that they are given a  loaded gun, told how to use it, then the parents must lay down the whys and why nots of usage. Some parents do, some don’t, and they usually disagree. This is why we have such confusion in our schools over these kinds of subjects, there is no standard. “Everyone does what is right in their own eyes.”

Sooner or later, the mind trip of lust that pornography brings to the table rears it’s ugly head in a young person’s life. It has been sold to them from a young age, in movies, TV shows, comedies and also on cable TV as something that sex only marginally resembles in real life. But, the porn industry has to make money, so it does much of the same things big tobacco is accused of; it was forced to take away Joe Cool, the smoking camel. TV is ripe with the lothario character, mostly male, but now and then a few female in its representation. In the 50’s you looked cool with a cigarette in your mouth, as James Dean and Bogart made famous. Now, the guy who beds many women consistently is the cool, untouchable character in much media these days. And it’s all a lie.

Those funny friends you see every week on TV shows are selling a type of invulnerability that is a complete deception. In real life, all these people would be sick and diseased, and their friends  would NOT be closely holding to them. In fact, most of these characters are also boorish louts, and yet their buddy club continues. Another lie. Obnoxious behavior results in isolation, not the caring, patient resiliency seen in the secondary characters to the lothario, or lout characterization.

But, that’s selling for you. Porn itself has in the recent times gotten to a point of desperation in that it often reflects its own short comings, namely: the law of diminishing return. And it certainly must be diminishing, for pornography has gotten weirder and stranger and has warped  the nations men in ways we could have little suspected in former years.

Once there was a time when porn was the sole bastion of back rooms behind the magazine stand, where patrons stood with other heavily cloaked men who all wore hats and glasses, some as a disguise, and you leaned into a book or magazine as a way to protect the secret addiction you served.  Magazines like Playboy moved some of this out into the mainstream with romanticized, soft focus  photography of young women in relative stages of undress. Outrageous as this was at one time, this is now considered soft core and a sort of “tea toataler’s” pornography. Of course, Playboy adopts the existentialist’s practice of debating  definitions as to what porn is and what it is not, but it’s funny how most people DO know what porn is when they see it.

Porn today increasingly resembles something out of Dante’s Inferno. Boys have been sold on it since they were young, and the need for the bigger and better sexual high that it brings has transformed porn into something violent and barbarian. Porn is now about punishing women. It is also about all sorts of other nasty anti-social ideas that are supposed to be erotic in design. As an example, there is a lot of “rape” porn now, more so than used to be marketable. Yet I sincerely doubt that any woman who has actually been raped will tell you that it was a hot time in the old town tonight. They didn’t secretly want it, and it didn’t awaken the true woman within. What it did was bring deep grief and emotional destruction to her life, and if you have seen a real victim of rape, there is very little that is sexy and erotic about their state. But the sale of the fantasy is still out there.

We’ve been told to love our neighbor as ourself, as a way to live life. Porn today is about making hate. It is about selling you on using sexual energy to create fear, disgust, anger, loathing and contempt. It is ultimately about a show of power. The man’s power over a woman in much the same way one would imagine happens in the most ruthless political regimes around the world. In those places a woman can be easily used in much the same way as toilet paper, and this concept is being sold to our young people as erotic.

The global industry of porn has been built on a house of lies to be worth approximately $96 million world wide. No thanks to the internet, there are now over 4.2 million porn websites, all accessible right in your home for the right price. No need to go hide out on the corner, or even buy a Playboy, porn can be gotten, in all it’s myriad forms, of which it really is only about one thing, right on the home computer.

Have you ever thought about who gets supported by the money spent on porn? Movies and TV make it seem harmless and fun to an up an coming generation, in fact, it’s like an old funny friend, right Charlie Sheen? The porn industry can lobby politicians, buy expensive lawyers, and use public relations  to influence public debate and social opinion. Do you think that the folks involved in pornography are socially responsible people who never gamble, pay off the law or get special treatment in the courts?  Do you think they live in white picket fence surrounded housing in middle America with mom’s apple pie cooling in the window? Pornographers would like you to believe so.

Porn is a lot like big tobacco, in that it can employ an incredible marketing machine on the fringes that leads the unsuspecting into the woods and over the cliff, like the Pied Piper of Hamlin.  We now have a generation that has grown up with internet porn, this has been a major part of their sexual education. Studies show that the first viewing age of porn is now around 11 years old.  If you were to even suggest that men two generations ago were in their mid thirties before they developed any kind of fixation that even resembles what porn sells to the young audience of today, you would be laughed at.

The brainwashing has worked. Many men generally believe that porn sex is what a woman wants. And it can be upsetting to find that the woman you are with has no desire to respond like a porn star.  This is not seen as a right of choice, but as a flat out rejection. Without the slapping and spanking and nasty name calling, real sex with women can come across as boring. But that’s what selling does.

Young guys don’t know it, but the actors they have seen are not only altered, but they are also disfigured. I spoke with someone not long ago who works in the industry (remember, I live in the San Fernando Valley) and he told me that a common operation is not so much penis enlargement, but the snipping of major tendons that hold the penis in place by being attached to the pelvic bone. Without this tendon, the penis swings forward and free out of the body cavity. Quite the price to pay for that kind of pay check. It also is quite the litmus for a young, unknowing male to live up to. It can be disorienting and anger producing to find that the actual act, unaffected by viagra, or “fluffers” or multiple camera takes can be over with in 8 minutes instead of the 2 hours porn movie running time. More lies.

Having to imagine porn scenes instead of a healthy response to a loving woman can be torturous to a male, and this works the same for both sexes of course. When you are not really there, the sex is usually what the porn industry wants it to be for you, a drug for the next high. Where is the love, people? Why do we believe the lie? You know a nude statue in the park is not porn. You know what porn is when you see it. Existentialist equivocation on the issue is a poor alternative.

Here are some claims about pornography to consider:

1) Women are coerced into pornography.

Usually, the women involved in the filming of porn are there for the money and they are usually sex addicted, though they probably won’t admit that. They are definitely not socially responsible, that is for sure, for they put no value on the effects that their actions may have on their audience. If a person is driven to sex acts by porn and then catches a STD that ultimately kills them, well it’s no responsibility of theirs. But that is not loving your neighbor.

Any woman forced into porn or porn acts is a victim of a crime. This could be anything from kidnapping to assault and rape. It is a crime, nothing less. It gets even worse when you consider the reality of young women being coerced into human trafficking.

2) Woman can’t give real consent.

Again, the notion that there is a secret female life that a woman just doesn’t realize is the basis of this statement. Another lie. Whether we are "psychologically damaged" or not, (an this requires special analysis) as long a person can make their own independent decisions, they are responsible for their own actions. If there is a movie producer who is filming women who obviously are so damaged as to not be aware of their  place in a planned film, then litigation of a major type needs to be levied.

3) Capitalism forces women into porn.

Force is one thing, but sales is quite another. The allure and seeming lack of consequences of porn is no doubt responsible for much of the work done in porn today as it is for the customers who buy it. True, poverty makes criminals and prostitutes, but there are many poor people who never go that way, and that choice is to their credit, not just an alternative. Don’t be deceived, porn actresses and actors are prostitutes. Plain and simple. You pay for porn, you pay for a prostitute, you support the lifestyle and the industry. Yes, a value judgement on my part, but you’ll get nothing else here. I am not in the business of cow-towing to those who would paint a pretty frame on the picture of immorality.

4) Pornography leads to violence against women.

At one time it might have been less of an argument, as society had certain norms that held this sort of thing in check at one time. Those norms have been slowly eroded away, and porn is part of the process itself.

Let’s talk for a moment about another aspect that has crept into the mainstream of porn. Interracial sex. There’s a scene in a Seinfeld episode where Jerry and Elaine are debating the attractiveness of an Asian woman. Jerry says he likes Asian women, Elaine tells him that it’s racist to say so. Jerry denies that and stands on the idea of “liking” them as reason for non-rascism. But he’s wrong. Any decision about a person based on race is racism. As many of you out there know, interracial attraction disappears quickly when personality gets in the way. But porn doesn’t care about this, although it tries to put on a face of indifference. Just review some of the names for this genre of porn and you’ll see what I mean.  Another lie.

It’s been proven by DNA science that there is no such thing as race in humans, only variations on a theme. If there wasn’t a racial taboo involved, then why name many of the films that are made in the way that they do? They do it because they know where the “buzz” comes from. And it’s racist.

Recently I saw a rather disgusting cartoon, which I won’t show you, but I’ll give  a brief description. It’s about an auction of young women, as if they were cattle. All the girls are Caucasian and the bidders are all African in descent. The girls are chained up and bound and the men all are rich and having a party. Interestingly, the girls are all identified as being from countries of Northern Europe and the countries just north of that location. There is an interesting point about this choice, which may or may not have something to do with anti-Semitism, but I haven’t decided at this point in time. But, briefly: there are those who have studied the 10 lost tribes of Israel and say that they migrated to the countries of Britain, France, Norway, Finland, Ireland, Scotland and also Australia and South Africa. This implies, of course, that if you are descended from those countries, that it is totally possible that YOU are a descendant also and therefore, Israeli too. Interesting, in that “black porn” seems most concerned with the appearance of white women from those countries despite there being many other countries with just as attractive a lineage. Interesting indeed.

Regardless of this, the porn cartoon is offensive to everyone involved, and darkly wrong headed. Feeding on this kind of tripe will only cause problems down the road. It’s definitely not about loving your fellow man. It’s about hating everyone involved, perhaps humanity itself. When you give money to these producers in any way, you vote for this kind of sick, hellish trash. It will eventually find its way to your kids. And that, my friend, is NO lie.

Reviews by Hubie Goode: Diamonds, Lies, Marketing, Marriage

Sex, Lies and Indifference

The other day while reading a newspaper, because I am nostalgic and miss the 12 years I spent working for newspapers; and also because I figure I had better get some newspaper time in while the getting is good, I ran into a cute cartoon. In the cartoon two characters where discussing lies. One says to the other, “If someone puts something in a book and then says it’s true, does that make it true?” “Of course not,” says the second character, “What makes you think anyone, anywhere is committed to the truth?” “Well”, says the first character, “My teddy bear wouldn’t lie to me.” “Does your teddy bear speak?” Asks the second character. “No.” Answers the first character. “Then I can truthfully say that he is committed to the truth.”

The comic creator is, of course, both a wise guy and also a student of human nature. How true is it that we are all lied to on a consistent basis? How sad is it that often times we allow it, even when it is detrimental to us or someone else to believe the lie. They ARE all around us , though, and often times they are so pervasive that our limited abilities and faulty consistencies give them let to hold sway in our very lives.

Take for example the idea of giving diamonds on special occasions. You know like, diamond rings, diamond necklaces, and other such baubles that put many a necessary car purchase off until the following year. Men in America think about love when they think about diamonds. Has anyone ever proposed marriage without a diamond wedding ring? There must be someone somewhere, but they are in the overwhelming minority.

Why are diamonds a valuable investment? Is it because they are so rare? Anyone who understands how economics works, knows that price is often the result of demand. A product is only priced in such a way as to provide both profit and also perceived value in the market place. If bananas where considered like gold, then their price would reflect that and they would be sky high, despite the fact that they cost about the same to obtain and also market.

Diamonds are like that. They are part of a marketing campaign. About 100 years ago diamonds were a real rare find, that only royalty could afford and purchase. Then suddenly in the mines of South Africa, that all changed. So many diamonds were found that miners could swim in them like large ponds of water. Suddenly the price of diamonds plunged.

A man called Cecil Rhodes saw spinning dollar signs in his eyes, like a cartoon character, and he bought up huge sums of the now cheap diamonds. His company’s name was DeBeers, and they established a monopoly on diamonds and persuaded almost every diamond producing nation in the world to do business only with DeBeers. Cecil Rhodes and his company now owned over 80% of all the diamonds in the world; past, present and future.

The world has changed since those days and DeBeers now only has about a 65% hold on all diamonds, but they also hoard diamonds. They drive the price up and keep huge storehouses of diamonds that could be several decades out of the Earth by the time you put that ring on her finger.  But the brainwashing was soon to follow, for that is how true selling works. Find a need and fill it is marginally honest, but create a need and fill it is a fine alternative if the first one doesn’t pan out.

Marketing strategist then decided they needed to make everyone believe a common perception, despite the inherent debt it would create for someone who had fallen in love. They created the marriage market. Now, diamonds are the proper way to express love. And yet, they don’t cost anywhere near what you pay for them.

The time was the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s. Hundreds of immigrants had all come together  under the same mantle of “American” and there were no traditions, no thing that set them together with an historical type connection. No one knew what proper social contact should be among a nation of strangers. DeBeers spelled it out rather neatly: You relate to women, you give them a little glittering pebble; they put it on their finger.

Movie studios added in their two cents worth in the assistance of brainwashing the general public, and you’ll notice that this is a common thing we rarely think about anymore, but both TV and movies jump on the bandwagon of social movements at the drop of a hat, or the jingle of a change purse.

Who doesn’t remember, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”? How about Madonna’s material girl that picked up on this for a new generation. Marketing is like this. When DeBeers has too many big diamonds in the storehouse, it advertises that the bigger the diamond is, the more you love her. Nice, huh? Open your wallet wide, boys.

When the storehouses have too many small diamonds, the sale is all about eternity rings. The market is slightly different this time, of course, and most 25th anniversaries and beyond are the target for rings with many small diamonds on them.

Personally, I feel that emeralds and sapphires and rubies can be just as lovely as any diamond. But, they don’t sell to women like diamonds do because of their marketing, not because they are anything inferior. Cubic Zirconium looks just like a diamond. Many jewelers will tell you only in secret that it takes some real study to see a difference between diamonds and cubics. The Gemological Institute of America will parrot this truth because even they have to use machines to tell the difference between a ten dollar cubic zirconium and a diamond that is $6,000.

Diamonds are good investments, however, as they have rich resale value. The problem of course is the 100% markup on diamonds, so any money you get back from diamond resale is ultimately a negative sum. When the public wakes up and realizes that diamonds run like water, the price will bottom out and what you have bought already will be worthless, at least as far as monetarily. Your sentimentality will be worthless as soon as you and your love reach the end of your lives while DeBeers still has your money.

rbhg: home school, social programming, social engineering, education, fascism, christianity, teaching, employment, James Bryant Conant, high school,

Secrets of Our

Educational System

part 5

James Bryant Conant, President of Harvard from 1933 to 1953, is a school name that resonates through the central third of the twentieth century. He once wrote a book called; The American High School Today (1959), which was one of the important things that pushed secondary schools to gigantic size in the 1960’s and forced consolidation of many small school districts into larger ones. Conant was a poison gas specialist in World War I, a reward for family lineage that had all the right stuff. He also worked on the World War II atomic bomb project, and was U.S. High commissioner for Germany during the occupation in 1945.

In his book, he addressed men and women of his own snooty class who were beginning to doubt the veracity of forced schooling and turning their opinions toward a return to the old style American methods of education. “No!” He fervently told them. “The clock cannot be turned back. The total process is irreversible!” Severe consequences would certainly follow if this carefully contrived behavioral-training machine were broken up. “A successful counter revolution would require reorientation of a complex social pattern. Only a crazy person would undertake such a project.”

Reading Conant’s book is like seeing a conversation in writing that was not meant for you but has major implications to you personally. Conant believed that schooling was a triumph of Anglo/German pragmatism, a pinnacle of the technocrats social planning art. It had sharply ruined the American entrepreneurial spirit. This made perfect sense to do if you stand in the shoes of management. As long as capital investment was at the mercy of millions of self-reliant, resourceful young entrepreneurs with a magic gleam in their eye, where would the money come from to continually tool and retool the commercial/industrial and financial machine? If the entire population could become producers, young people could always be loose cannons crashing around the deck of a ship teetering and tottering out of control. This was a threat to the corporate ship, however, if they were controlled as employees, then a dependable domestic market could be established.

But how to mute the urge for innovation in the population of tomorrow, that was the question. Conant tells us that the answer was in “formulation”, much in the same way he mixed gasses to create death for the enemy in a war situation. By the time 1905 came along, the call to formulation was followed en masse by the entire nation. “Keep all youth in school full time through grade twelve.” All youth, even those who didn’t wish to be there, and especially those who would take vengeance on their jailers.

Conant knew good and well that practical minded kids paid the biggest price for forced schooling and enforced confinement. But what could be done? The genie was out of the bottle so to speak. For Conant, it was a worthy trade off. Any mind complex enough to calculate a way to short circuit entrepreneurial energy, and ideology driven enough to make this happen all in the service of a corporate takeover of the economy, is sharp enough to see the side effects of a band of prisoners forced to remain in school against their will along with the docile and compliant. The net result of intellectual possibilities of class instruction was predictably a wipe out, as we have seen for 40 years now.

Going back for a moment to Cubberly, the Stanford education dean, he too had written about the serious decline of class work caused by early experiments in forcing universal school attendance. Therefore it was no surprise to insiders when academic integrity was destroyed. Cubberly’s House History of American Education refers directly to this episode. Conant and Cubberly both knew each other and spoke frequently. They knew what they were doing, but maintained their heroic stance in the service of corporate America all the same. Kids would be forced to do duty for the state, the brainwashing and social engineering of their innocent lives and the abject rape of their freedoms would be something difficult to explain to the general public.

A book called: “Philosophy of Education” by Robert Ulich, a prominent Harvard professor, put it this way: “ We are producing more and more people who will be dissatisfied because the artificially prolonged time of formal schooling will arouse in them hopes which society cannot fulfill... These men and women will form the avant garde of the disgruntled. It is no exaggeration to say people (like these) were responsible for World War II.” (Remember, I have talked a lot about fascism in our schooling.) This is, of course, nothing new, for Toynbee in his tome Study of History claimed the same thing and has been used as a guide for the speculation of the events of history for a long time now. This concept, that serious intellectual schooling of a universal nature was a sword pointed at the established order, has been a common theme in the west since the Tudors, and has also been openly discussed since 1890.

After World War I, the German people found themselves with an inexcusable high rate of unemployment. These people all went back to school, college specifically. Like the G.I. Bill, this was a short term solution to the problems of high unemployment. What happened as a result still leaves a mark on us today. Germany found itself with a general public that was well educated and resentful. Try to imagine homeless people with degrees and no where to use them, with no work to pay for their tuition. The dramatic rise of tent cities all across America of entire families without work and homes should raise serious concerns in us all.

This is no easy issue to deal with. From a management perspective it is no less cynical than it is pragmatic. Most continuing education beyond a college degree is easy to earmark as a temporary solution to the fact that most employment in the U.S. is now part time or short term employment, in fact, the figures I believe are about 50-60%. In an increasingly centralized workplace, one with no end in sight,
all employment is categorized into four branches: corporate, governmental, institutional, and professional. Once work has been channeled in this fash
ion, one that mimics a true monopoly of employment, fear of too many smart people is a real and present danger. Smart people revolt. Just ask France. Both history itself and Senator Ulich would bear witness to this fact.

Debate over public schools and the overwhelming reality of what our kids are now subject to (just consider the lottery for an education scenes in the movie Waiting for Superman) become academic themselves when we understand the ideas of people like, Inglis, Conant, Ulich, and Kotsching. If we don’t address the philosophies, the atheism, the existentialism, the government social engineering which sentences the largest part of our population to lives that are practically devoid of meaning and turns them into unwitting gerbils on a treadmill for corporate America, we might as well just stop complaining.

Liberty, equality,
fraternity, or death.
